Apple iphone 4s has got a dual core processor, the hardware in this little thing is probably faster than your 3 year old desktop computer at home. You may want to stay on the iPhone. This is because Android and iTunes do not interact. Apple iphone 4S has smaller screen than most other top-of-the-range phones and more expensive than the Galaxy.
It is noticeably faster going from an iPhone 4 to 4S if you are an Apple lover, go for this, as you won’t like Android, unless you are prepared to change your mindset and the general usability of the phone and its software as well as cosmetically its Apple, regardless of what other people say, it is a status and a fashion thing, just like a branded handbag. It has great stylish looks compared to all other phones in the market. (although has looks similar to iPhone 4).
Some issues like draining of battery, do persist but will be taken care of in the coming few iterations and releases of the IOS Software Upgrade. Siri (service for recognising voice) supports only English and not Chinese at this stage (but may extend to chinese later on). Iphone 4S has the same look as iPhone 4, so it’s not much of a cosmetic upgrade. But, after having experienced 3G, then you are getting a pretty big “upgrade”, both on performance and cosmetically. Hardware is not quite as advanced compared to Galaxy S2. Also because it is not supporting flash mobile, anyhow it is fading from the recent Adobe articles. (creator of flash)
The main advantage of galaxy S2 is its popularity, on par or more popular than iPhones. It uses Android system developed and supported by Google, which is open-source and a very fast and snappy operation and the hardware is more superior compared to the iPhone 4S. It has a bigger screen, 4.3″ awesome to watch videos and has lots more real estate to work with compared to the iPhone’s screen. It is much bigger than iPhone, although thinner, it is bigger.
I would advise you to search out for a demo cell phone in the market and try out putting this phone into your pocket, and holding it in your hand. A lot of people having not big hands find it hard to grip the phone, because it is too big. It is not yet that sensitive in operation as the iOS; one could only guess this is a software issue rather than a hardware one.
So it is a big choice and criteria that must be fulfilled to select either of them because both seem to have equal share of advantages and disadvantages.
